Terms of Service
These terms explain how you may use FreePDFKit, what you are responsible for, and the limits of a free browser-based document service.
Last updated: August 4, 2026
Acceptance
By accessing or using FreePDFKit, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Review your output
PDF repair, conversion, compression, and extraction results depend on your file, browser, and device. Keep an original copy and review every result before sending, publishing, signing, or relying on it.
1. The service
FreePDFKit provides browser-based tools for common PDF tasks. Features may change, be unavailable temporarily, or vary by browser, device, language, file type, or file size. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue a feature at any time.
Unless a tool specifically says otherwise, core processing is intended to happen locally in your browser. The service is provided for general document utility and is not a guaranteed archival, signing, accessibility, or records-management system.
2. Eligibility and your account
You may use the service only if you can legally agree to these terms. No account is required for the public tools. You are responsible for access to your device, browser, internet connection, and any files or services you connect to the application.
3. Your files and responsibilities
- You keep ownership of files you select and outputs you create.
- You must have the rights and permissions needed to process a file.
- You are responsible for checking output accuracy and preserving backups.
- You must not submit files containing malware or unlawful material.
- You should not use the contact form to send confidential documents.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use the service to break the law, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, distribute malware, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, evade technical limits, or create a burden that disrupts other users. We may limit or block access when reasonably necessary to protect users, providers, or the service.
5. Intellectual property
The FreePDFKit name, website design, software, documentation, and original content belong to their respective owners and are protected by applicable law. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable right to use the public service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, resell, frame, scrape, or redistribute the service or branding without permission.
If you send feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use that feedback to improve the service without owing you compensation. You do not give up ownership of your files by using the tools.
6. Third-party services
The site may link to or offer optional integrations with third-party services, including cloud storage, analytics, email, advertising, and payment or hosting providers. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party availability, content, or data practices.
7. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent allowed by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, compatible with every file, or fit for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that a converted, repaired, compressed, or protected file will meet a specific technical or legal standard.
Do not rely on the service as your only copy of an important document. You are responsible for backups, review, and any decision made using an output.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FreePDFKit and the people and providers involved in operating it will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive losses, or for loss of data, profits, business, or goodwill arising from use of or inability to use the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end access to the service, without notice where reasonably necessary, if you violate these terms, create a security or operational risk, or if the service is discontinued. Provisions about ownership, acceptable use, disclaimers, liability, and disputes survive termination where applicable.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service changes. The current version is posted on this page with its effective date. Your continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms, except where applicable law requires a different process.
Questions or legal notices can be submitted through our Contact page. Mandatory consumer rights in your place of residence remain unaffected.
